Privacy Policy

What this app does

BriefAI helps you generate structured event briefs. You enter event details (name, date, venue, audience, goals, speakers) and the app returns a formatted brief using an AI language model.

Account & authentication

To save and access your generated briefs, you may create an account using your email address and a password. Your password is securely hashed and stored by our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not have access to your plain-text password.

Data we collect

When you use BriefAI, we collect and store the following data:

• Email address — used for account creation and login.
• Event details — event name, date, venue, duration, audience description, goals, speakers, and tone preference. These are stored only when you are signed in and choose to save a brief.
• Generated briefs — the AI-generated content (overview, run sheet, talking points, stakeholder summary, social media copy) is saved alongside your event details when you save a brief.

If you use the app without signing in, your event details are sent to our server solely to generate a brief and are not stored.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to provide the BriefAI service — generating and storing event briefs for your personal use. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini — event data you enter is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate your brief. This data is processed under Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — provides authentication and database hosting. Your account credentials and saved briefs are stored on Supabase's infrastructure under Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Data retention & deletion

Your saved briefs and account data are retained for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Upon account deletion, all your stored event data and briefs will be permanently removed from our systems.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including using encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
